During this trip we are going to follow a beautifyl route in our region, seas, lakes and Medeterranean sea in general. We are going to exchange myths, legends of our area, to play with water , to learn about the uses of water and the water cyrcle. Finally, together with our partners we are going to shout to the whole world to protect the water resources and the environment in general. |
The project targets 7-10 years old students and the working language is English. The aim of the project is to encourage and promote a cross-curricular approach to learning. The children will learn about local environment and local natural products and the process that lead them from the earth to our table (e.g. from olive to oil, from grapes to wine, from wheat to bread and so on). Children will know each other through food experiences: the school canteen, the school menu, healthy snacks at school. The exchange will give the children the chance to discover differences and similarities between different european countries. |
This project is intended to promote a part of the vast work written by Roald Dahl: Matilda, George`s marvellous medicine, The Witches, Danny the champion of the world. Students must read a book (from the four books sugested) within a month. Afterwards they will prove comprehending the plot and narrative through a series of activities such as:
World Thinking Day Ideas and Resources. Its aim is to bring together children from all over the world (nearly 150 countries take part) to celebrate international friendships, raise money and think about a global theme, which is changed each year.
The theme for Thinking Day in 2018 is "Grow" - looking for "seeds of change" and planting a tree to make a difference.
During the project the children will think about how they can be kind to each other and kind to the environment. Then on World Thinking Day we will all plant seeds somewhere in our schools and take photos to show that we are all working together to save the environment.
